This is the worst flooding Thailand had ever seen in decades. Because there had never been a natural disaster this shocking before, it seems that Thai people are not prepared and thousands are suffering from this alarming event. Although people whose houses are flooded are currently having a very hard time living their lives, they try to adapt and eventually created simple, but useful devices for survival. Also, ones who aren't flooded are also trying to help, think, and create something useful in order to be helpful for the flooded ones.
Some of the innovations I like and think that it is a good product is the floating toilet. I like this idea of the floating toilet because one of our most important thing to do is to dispose our human waste. Without bathrooms, we will just have very few choices to decide during the situation; to go to somewhere near which has a toilet, use a plastic bag, or to hold it.
I think it is very necessary for all of us to be able to dispose our waste easily, not holding it or any other ways. So, this is the reason why I like the idea of making floating toilets for ones who aren't able to use their home bathrooms.

You clearly explained how Thai people adapt to their current situation and try to help each other. It gives me a very strong feeling that all Thais will be able to adapt to it and they will continue creating useful devices for survival.
ReplyDeleteI agree on your first paragraph that Thais are not prepared for this flooding disaster. The amount of water was really unpredictable. You also stated that there is no other choice but to adapt to the condition until it's over, which I agree because there is no choice.

You might as well explain how the floating toilet works and provide a picture of it floating.
Your introduction paragraph is very hooking, it makes me want to read on. Although I didn't think that the floating toilet was the greatest invention, I still agree that the disposal of human waste is a big problem and this floating toilet is indeed really helpful. Thais are getting really innovative in adapting to the flood and so lots of great inventions are created. There are some issues on punctuation marks for example in some places you forgot to put a full stop. All in all, everything is really great!

Although I agree with your opinion you could have described more about the floating toilets, for people who do not understand how it works. However it would have been interesting if you included what innovation you would create. But to sum up it was a blog that I enjoyed reading it very much.

I like how you had describe the benefit of the floating toilet and how tough it would be for the people in the flooded area without toilet because they have nowhere to dispose their waste.
