I am a student learning at Ruamrudee International School (RIS) located in Bangkok, Thailand. First of all, I live in a family of 5 with 3 cats and 1 dog. I love animals! <3 I have one older sister and one younger brother.
During this time in Thailand, there had been a huge disaster happening, which is the worst flood in Thailand! The flood this year went through many areas of Thailand and left several places destroyed. Some places are still flooded and the houses are submerged. Even though my house isn't flooded, the areas around my school and also inside school was flooded, but wasn't considered a lot, because some places are flooded for 2 meters high! Because many people weren't able to come to school, and the roads to school are also flooded, our school was closed for a very longggggg time! (about 40 days) When we finally came back, the flood break took out a lot of our learning time, so we nearly had to come study on Saturdays! But because of some discussion and deciding later on, the school had decided to extend each period 15 more minutes and the schedule has been changed!
From learning from 7.30 AM - 2.40 PM, it has been extended and changed to 7.00 AM - 3.25 PM, which tired a lot of us! Sometimes, learning way too much hurts my brains and makes us sleepy! :( Also, lots and lots of our other holidays throughout the school year had changed from happy days into learning for nearly the whole day!
Even though it was the WORST flooding in Thailand, it was a good experience! Normally, this happens like once in 50 years or so, but now, I have experienced it! Even though everyone had a hard time living during the flood, they all became one of the history people, because they have experienced the flood! :D
*For more information about the flooding and how it occurred, you can go to google and search for "Thailand Flood" and you will find lots and lots of information and photos!

"Floating toilet" prepared for Thailand's worst flooding~
This is the worst flooding Thailand had ever seen in decades. Because there had never been a natural disaster this shocking before, it seems that Thai people are not prepared and thousands are suffering from this alarming event. Although people whose houses are flooded are currently having a very hard time living their lives, they try to adapt and eventually created simple, but useful devices for survival. Also, ones who aren't flooded are also trying to help, think, and create something useful in order to be helpful for the flooded ones.
Some of the innovations I like and think that it is a good product is the floating toilet. I like this idea of the floating toilet because one of our most important thing to do is to dispose our human waste. Without bathrooms, we will just have very few choices to decide during the situation; to go to somewhere near which has a toilet, use a plastic bag, or to hold it.
I think it is very necessary for all of us to be able to dispose our waste easily, not holding it or any other ways. So, this is the reason why I like the idea of making floating toilets for ones who aren't able to use their home bathrooms.

Flooding in Thailand!
Thailand is currently flooding!! Most of the areas in Thailand are flooding, some places heavily, some not so heavily. Right now, the capital; Bangkok is about to flood too! Some areas have even already started to flood.
My family and I have already moved out of our house, even though it haven't flooded yet, just soon. We bought about 150-200 sandbags to protect the house around the entrances and sealed the openings, such as doors, windows, etc. We moved furniture and other things upstairs to the second floor and brought important things with us. We also took our pets with us too. :3 During the chaotic move, there were a lot of disorders. Things went wrong and everything was fast. There were some problems, such as no internet access, etc., which is now fixed. :)
I've also heard that in some houses where the rescuers went by were found left with home pets, mostly dogs. These dogs got abandoned by their owners, who either couldn't take them, or just decided to abandon them. I feel sorry for those dogs, caged inside the house with water surrounding it and nowhere to go. :( Seeing these dogs, the rescuers threw in dog food for the dogs to eat.
Since my family isn't flooding yet, we are also donating to the others who are suffering from this flood. Some areas in other provinces are very heavily flooded. People and home pets are suffering, with nowhere to live. So, my family decided to donate some money to the rescuers so that they could use the money collected from all over for survival kits to send to people who need help.
My family and I are currently living in Bangkok, safe and sound.

Identity~
Identity means being ourself. It means that we are who we are and we believe in ourselves. Always be happy of who we are and what we are. It doesn't matter how others think of us. no matter if its by skin color, nationality, physical traits, etc. What matters is the inside, not the outside.
Identity is a big part of me and plays a very important role in my life. When I do something, I be myself and that is what we call "identity". Identity controls me and my behavior in everyday life. In my opinion, I think that our identity can also be changed, if we try. For example, I feel that my identity and who I am isn't so good. I have things to be changed and improved to be better than what I am right now, so I try to accomplish my goal. Sometimes, I get shy when there is nothing to be shy of. That is something I will have to improve on; self-confidence.
In conclusion, I would like to say that no matter what we are outside, the inside will just be us. If we are unconfident in something, just change it, to feel better. We will always have to think of our identity and who we are. Don't think that you're different from others, because everyone is born unique. Nobody is the same. So, we should always be proud of who we are and what we have. :)

Blog Post 1: Only Licensed Cameras will be allowed for Ownership (Photo8)
1. Police
Pros: They get to see photos of all kind from all the people. They can see what is happening in the photos and if the people are following the law or not. They can see what people are taking photos of.
Cons: They have no cons in doing this, because they have nothing to lose and they also receive money.
2. Families
Pros: the good thing is that they can take photos of anything they want to. If it is a photo of a problem happening, then the government can see it and it will be on newspaper. Everybody would take notice of what is happening.
Cons: Their cameras can get taken and there will be no privacy in family business. The police would be able to see everything.
3. Students
Pros: If they take photos of something unique, the government can see who took the photo and it can be famous. Also, if there is a fight occurring between the students, then if somebody takes a shot of it happening, the government and police can take care of it.
Cons: If students want something unique to be taken, then they won't feel like they have much freedom in the lives.
4. Reporters
Pros: If they take a photo of something that has happened, then the government can see it and can put it directly in the newspapers and let everyone know about the news. Reporters won't have to go report by themselves as always.
Cons: I don't think there are any cons for reporters because their job is to report, which means they have to share all the news and photos.

What makes a great photo? (Photo8)
To create a great photo, we must have good, creative ideas. These ideas will help us create better and more interesting photos. When taking a photo, we have to remember about the rule of thirds and apply it to pur photo that we are taking. We have to use contrast in our photos; making it look better and clearer.
Also, while taking a good photo, if we are taking a photo of a person, or animal, it is best we focus on the eyes, nose, and mouth. Using the rule of thirds, it will help us create a better image. Light is also one important thing when we are taking a photo.
When we are taking a photo, we have to apply in some light. For example, if we are taking a family portrait, it will be good if the family is standing opposite from the window and we (the photographer) should be standing in front of the window of light. Now, there will be light on the family members and will make the photo look better and more livelier. :)
Another important factor while taking a great photo is temperature. When we are taking a photo of living things, especially human, we have to use warm temperature to make the person look better. If the temperature is cold, then the photo will end up looking scary and weird.
In conclusion, we should apply all these different strategies to our photos because it wil help make photos more interesting and good-looking. It will make photos look better and more professional-looking. :P

metacognition
Metacognition is thinking about your thinking. It is a concious examination of what you are understanding and what you are not understanding while you are reading or thinking. We can use metacognition in several situations, such as when you're wondering about something, or having a fight with someone. There are 2 strategies to metacognition; metacognition conversation and think aloud. When you do these strategies, it will help you think quickly and move faster. For example if you were to make a clay animal, and you use think aloud, saying what you are thinking, it will help you finish much faster. Metacognition can really benefit you because it helps utilize critical thinking skills, and helps activate and apply prior knowledge.
