อ้าวววเพื่อนๆ วันนี้นกน้อยก็มีอีกเรื่องจะมาเล่าให้ฟังอีกแล้วสินะ ก่อนอื่นเราขออนุญาตพูดถึงเรื่องความคิดเห็นของผู้คนที่แตกต่างกันก่อนเลยนะฮัฟฟ คือก็รู้ๆ กันอยู่อ่ะเนอะว่าเวลาพูดถึงเรื่องภาษา บางคนก็เห็นด้วยกับการเปลี่ยนแปลง บางคนก็ไม่ชอบและอาจคัดค้านด้วยซ้ำ นกน้อยก็แค่อยากจะบอกว่าเราไม่ได้ประสงค์ไม่ดีหรือจะขัดใจใครน้า เราแค่จะมาแชร์ข้อความแชทที่เพื่อนส่งมาให้ดูระหว่างเพื่อนกับแม่ เราจะใช้นามสมมติว่า“นนทกร”ละกันนะบอกก่อน 555 นนเค้าเห็นว่าแม่ตลกดี เราเห็นว่าเออ หัวข้อนี้ก็น่าสนใจอยู่นะ แล้วก็เป็นเรื่องที่เราคนไทยก็คุยกันมาตลอดด้วย เพื่อนๆ คงสงสัยแล้วละสิว่าไอ้เรื่องนี้มันคืออะไรกันแน่ มันก็คือเรื่องของ ศัพท์วัยรุ่น และศัพท์ที่เปลี่ยนแปลงในภาษาไทยนั่นเองงงง :)

                คนเราในแต่ละสมัยก็ไม่เหมือนกันอยู่แล้วใช่ปะะะ ทั้งความคิด ชีวิต ความเป็นอยู่ และอื่นๆ นานา ซึ่งล้วนแล้วก็มีอิทธิพลต่อผู้คนทั้งนั้น อ่าาา ตอนนี้เราก็มาดูแชทของสองแม่ลูกกันเถิดดดด นกน้อยเตรียมเรื่องย่อเหตุการณ์ไว้ให้ด้วยนะ ครัชช จะได้เหมือนอ่านเรื่องสั้นหนุกๆๆ

เปิดเทอมเช้าวันหนึ่งขณะที่เด็กชายนนทกรกำลังเดินไปโรงเรียน ในหัวนั้นก็กำลังคิดถึงเรื่องสอบกลางภาคที่เพิ่งผ่านมา ก็อดกังวลไม่ได้ว่าถ้าแม่ได้รับรู้ผลสอบแล้ว ตัวเองจะโดนด่า โดนว่า โดนทำโทษหรือเปล่า “เราก็ทำดีที่สุดแล้วนะ...ทำไมเราถึงได้คะแนนน้อยอย่างนี้...เห้อ เซ็งจริง” นนทกรคิดในใจ ทุกวันหลังวันที่ผลสอบออก เด็กชายนนทกรกลับบ้านมาก็เล่นแต่เกม เพราะรู้สึกว่าตนเองนั้นเรียนก็ไม่เก่ง ฉลาดก็ไม่ฉลาด งั้นเรียนไปก็คงไม่ได้อะไร เล่นเกมดีกว่า สบายใจมีความสุขแถมคนในโลกออนไลน์ยังเห็นว่าเขาเป็นคนเก่งอีกด้วย แตกต่างจากชีวิตในโลกความเป็นจริงที่มีแต่คนติคนมองข้าม แต่แล้วอยู่ๆ คุณแม่ก็ส่งเมสเสจมาทางไลน์พอดี “แม่จะดูผลสอบได้จากที่ไหนคะลูก?” “แย่แล้วสิเรา” นนทกรคิดอย่างกังวลใจ

แม่: แม่จะดูผลสอบได้จากที่ไหนคะลูก?

ลูก: ผลยังไม่ออกเลยค้าบแม่

แม่: ผ่านมาตั้งสองเดือนกว่าแล้วนะ ผลต้องออกแล้วสิ อย่าโกหกแม่นะ

ลูก: โหหหหหห

ลูก: ผมจะโกหกแม่ไปทามมมายยคร้าบบบบ

ลูก: เอาเปนว่าเดี๋ยวออกแล้วจะบอกแม่นะ

แม่: วันๆ เอาแต่เล่นเกม ตั้งใจเรียนหน่อย เดี๋ยวก็จะจบแล้ว เกรดไม่สวยแล้วอย่ามาเสียใจทีหลังหล่ะ

ลูก: อะไรกันน คนอื่นเค้าบอกกันว่าผมอ่ะเมพขิงๆ กันทั้งนั้นน

แม่: เมพขิงๆ คืออะไร...

ลูก: อ๋อโทดคับแม่ ลืมไป เมพขิงๆ คือเทพจิงๆ ไงแม่ 5565555                                                                                             

                เริ่มแรกสองแม่ลูกก็คุยกันด้วยอารมณ์ขำๆ แฝงด้วยความเคร่งเครียด แต่แล้วก็คุยกันไปจนความเครียดนั้นหายไป และกลายเป็นความสนุกเหมือนเพื่อนกันมากขึ้นเรื่อยๆ อย่างรวดเร็ว ระหว่างที่คุยแชทกับคุณแม่ นนทกรก็คิดสงสัยเพราะเพิ่งสังเกตุว่าตัวเองแทบไม่ได้คุยกับคุณแม่ในแนวนี้เลย...แบบแชทแบบวัยรุ่นอะไรงี้น่ะ...รู้สึกสนิทขึ้น...“หรือว่าจะเป็นเพราะแชทในไลน์นะ? เราก็ไม่ค่อยได้คุยแชทออนไลน์กับแม่ซะด้วย” คุยไปคุยมา ด้วยความที่คุณแม่แทบไม่ได้แชทออนไลน์กับลูก จึงไม่เคยรู้ว่าลูกตัวเองนั้นใช้ภาษาวัยรุ่นกับคนอื่น... ด้วยความที่ตนเองก็ไม่เข้าใจคำศัพท์ใหม่เหล่านี้เพราะไม่เคยเห็นไม่เคยใช่ และไม่เคยเจอศัพท์เหล่านี้จึงไม่ชินกับการพูดคุยแบบคนรุ่นใหม่ และรู้สึกว่าการคุยแบบนี้นั้นไม่เหมาะสมเลย... เด็กๆ อยู่ที่โรงเรียนก็ไม่ใช่ว่าจะได้คะแนนดีเยี่ยมทุกวิชา แล้วมาใช้ศัพท์ใหม่แบบนี้ สะกดผิดบ้าง เพี้ยนบ้าง ก็ทำให้เด็กยิ่งงงยิ่งเขียนผิด แต่แล้วพอคุยไปเรื่อยๆ คุณแม่นั้นก็เริ่มสังเกตเห็นว่าการใช้ศัพท์วัยรุ่นที่คอยเปลี่ยนแปลงเรื่อยๆ นั้นหามไม่ได้ และจริงๆ แล้วก็ไม่ได้แย่อย่างที่คิดไว้ตอนแรก เพราะเวลาเด็กได้พิมพ์คำพวกนี้ออกมา ก็สามารถเห็นได้กับตาว่าสะกดอะไรยังไง และช่วยให้แยกแยะออกว่าอะไรถูกอะไรผิด

แม่: อ๋อ เดี๋ยวนี้เขานิยมกันใช้คำแบบนี้กันเหรอ

ลูก: เค้าฮิตกันมานานล้าา -__-

ลูก: เห้ออ แม่เราตกเทรนด์จุง

แม่: นี่เดี๋ยวนี้มีศัพท์ใหม่เยอะขนาดนี้เลยเหรอเนี่ย แม่ไม่เห็นรู้เลย

ลูก: แม่คนรุ่นเก่าอ่าา

แม่: ...แม่ว่าไม่ค่อยเข้าท่าเลยนะลูก

ลูก: ห๊าาา

แม่: อย่างนี้เด็กๆ ก็งงภาษากันหมดสิ ยิ่งภาษาก็ไม่ค่อยแข็งอยู่แล้วด้วย...

ลูก: โถ่แม่ อย่างน้อยเกรดวิชาไทยผมก็ผ่านนะฮะ -3-

แม่: ผ่าน แต่ก็ไม่ได้สูงเลยใช้ไหมเล่า

...ระหว่างที่คุณแม่คุยกับลูกชาย ก็ค่อยๆ เรียนรู้ถึงโลกสมัยใหม่ที่ตนเองไม่เคยรู้จักเนื่องจากว่าเติบโตมาในคนละยุคสมัย การสนทนาของสองแม่ลูกนั้นเริ่มคึกคักขึ้นเรื่อยๆ และเวลาก็ผ่านไปอย่างรวดเร็วโดยไม่รู้ตัว...

จบบแล้ววว ก็ไม่มีไรมากอ่ะนะ ก็แค่อยากจะแบ่งปันการเปลี่ยนแปลงของแม่นนทกรที่เร็วฝุดฝุดเลย 5555555 ขนาดตัวเราเอง แต่ก่อนก็ไม่ได้คิดอะไรกับเรื่องอิทธิพลคนรอบข้างครอบครัวอะไรงี้มากนะ แต่พอเพื่อนส่งแชทมาให้นี่แบบว่า เห้ยยย มันทำให้เห็นเลยหว่ะว่าความแตกต่างในการใช่ภาษาพูดระหว่างสองแม่ลูกตอนแรกต่างกันขนาดไหน แต่อยู่ดีๆ คุยไปเพลินๆ แม่ก็เริ่มซึมซับภาษาวัยรุ่นที่ลูกตัวเองใช้ เริ่มมีการใช้ศัพท์วัยรุ่นใหม่ๆ ขนาดการแสดงอารมณ์ด้วยรูปหน้าอีโมชั่น     “-__-” ยังมีเลยอ่า คิดดู

เอออ...เรานี่ก็มัวแต่ไปพูดถึงคนอื่นเค้าเนอะ ว่าแต่ตัวเองเราก็ใช้ภาษาสะกดผิด เพี้ยน ทับศัพท์อะไรเยอะแยะเหมือนกันนะ -3- 555555 ในฐานะนักเรียนนักศึกษา เราว่าการใช้ภาษาวัยรุ่น สแลง คำทับศสัพท์ อะไรผิดๆ ถูกๆ  จริงๆ แล้วก็ไม่ได้แย่อะไรนะ ถ้าคนที่ใช้ภาษาแบบนี้รู้ว่าแบบที่ถูกต้องคือยังไงและใช้ให้ถูกที่ ถูกคน ถูกสถานการณ์อะไรงี้ๆๆๆ เอ้ออ นั่นแหละ คือถ้าอย่างเรากับเพื่อนๆ เราก็รู้ว่าที่ถูกต้องเป็นไงง การที่ตัดคำให้การพิมเร็วขึ้น สะกดผิดบางไรบ้างก็เป็นการฝึกทักษะอยู่นะ มันทำให้เราได้พิมออกมา ได้เห็นตัวสะกด แล้วมันทำให้พิมคล่องขึ้นด้วยอ่ะ

เพื่อนๆ คิดยังไงกันบ้างเอ่ยยยย เม้นไว้เบยยย มีคำถามอะไรก็ถามได้น้าา เดี๋ยวเค้าไปตอบจ้าาา JJJ

Problem with Language Change? Hmmm

Heyyyy guyssss! So, first of all, today’s update will be a special update. Why is it special? Cuz it’s not normal LOL. Nah, it’s just that today’s hot topic isn’t really a trend, but instead, I’ve got a primary source of cool stuff to show you guys about language trends. Second of all, I’d just like to talk a little bit about how each and every one of us have different opinions about things all around us, one of which is language change.  

So, recently, my friend Laura had been ranting to me about her mom’s conservative-ness of “Old English” as she says, which is not really old English but oh well…She sent me screenshots of her conversation with her mom, where she talked normally like how she would with friends, maybeee a little more polite, but her mom picked up on her use of language and “lectured” (what Laura described it as) about how the incorrect uses could be seen badly, as it was a “degrading “effect on discourse and culture, and therefore wanted Laura to use correct language. Well, you see, Laura and her mom are from totally different generations, so it kind of makes sense why her mom is so serious about this. Time has changed… Take a look at it! (I copied and pasted the conversation instead because the screenshots were blurry)

Mom:  When do you want me to pick you up today, sweetie pie?

Laura: 3.30

Mom: Okay

Laura: Oh sry my badd

Laura: 4.30 ma

Mom: ?

Laura: Lol what mom hahaha

Mom: I’m confused.

Laura: I meant im sorry i wanted to say 4.30 not 3.30

Mom: Oh…why go home late today though? If you’re staying just to hang out I want you to go home and study for your SAT instead, Laura.

Laura: Ohh mommm I got work to do with my peeps

Mom: Don’t let me catch you lying.

Laura: -_- mom why would I lie

Mom: Just make sure you do your work

Laura: Yapp

Mom: And what’s with all this weird language of yours?

Laura: Ive been talkin likr this for ages mom -0- u never notice me

Laura: Its just how teens talk its like da new trendd hahahaah

Mom: …I don’t think that’s appropriate, darling.

So far you can already see the difference between how Laura and her mom texts right? Hahahahhaha. Her mom’s probably like what’s with all this stupid spelling going on. keep on readinggg, thinks will start getting more interesting.

Laura: Whurttttt

Mom: You do know your English isn’t that good, and all this incorrect usage of English is just going to make it worse, Laura. Don’t tell me you use this kind of language in the public too?

Laura: why not mom

Mom: Laura, this is a serious problem. Do you want other people to look at you badly like you’re uneducated?

Laura: =0= mom it’s fineeee reallyyy. Everyone talks like this these days

Laura: People knowww that im not like dumb or something. I do know the correct ways

Laura: but this is just for fun. Not for like some school essay, chillax momm

Mom: So all you care about is how teachers look at you? Other people matter too.

Laura: mom you gotta understand that you’re from a different generation than me. Language changes over timeee mommm…it can’t be stopped :/

Mom: ...good point there…

Laura: looool mom it’s okayyy I know what im doing and I know when its appropriate to use what style of language.

…As the conversation progressed, Laura’s mom seemed to be more engaged in Laura’s language talk. Which is. Very. Interesting. At first, she was definitely skeptical about Laura’s English, butttt as time passes by, things change, just like how language changes or evolves..new slangs, words, misspellings, punctuation, you name it. It really all depends on opinion. But really, language change isn’t always a bad thing. If you know when to use what style of language appropriately, then it’s fine. Laura’s mom had a point though… Although she might be from an older generation where looking educational was important, and so wanted her daughter to be respected in society, things have changed. If the new changes in language has been beneficial in our generation’s life styles, like how shorter spelling makes typing faster, then it isn’t a bad thing, right?

Ending of 8th Grade :(

      Can you believe it? Yesterday was just like the beginning of the year! We were having fun with our friends and doing everything like normal. But today, we finally start paying more attention to the people around us and know that some of them are leaving. Everything is going so, so fast that we don't have enough time to adapt to the fact that we will loose our lovely friends. But we will just have to face it.
      8th grade had been an amazing year. It's full of both happiness and sadness, but we all end up having fun. Sometimes, our teachers give us tons of work to do in just a short amount of time. I am sure we all got stressed, but we didn't spend much time on that. Instead, we started working and tried to finish them as soon as possible, and made it!
      Now, the year is ending, and the time has finally come for us to get what we deserve, a longgg break, where we can go have fun with our family and friends.

Napoleon ... The Theme Park

After reading an article about a future Napoleon theme park, I think that this is a very creative and good creation for everybody, especially for future generations. Sometimes, children don't want and don't care about learning history, but by creating this theme park, children from all over the world can come and learn the history of Napoleon while having fun.
Nobody likes being forced to do something they do not like, instead, the majority of people in the world like having fun, and they tend to learn more while having fun. So, to fix the problem of children's hard time learning, if they visit the Napoleon theme park, it will very likely help them learn more about the history of Napoleon. Furthermore, this theme park will also be a spark to children's appreciation and love for history.
After visiting this theme park, they may start to search for books about other topics on history and maybe create another theme park in the future.

Is courage something you have to be born with, or can you develop it?

               Courage is something we can develop throughout our life. It doesn't matter if we're not born with it, because if we have a goal, and we aim for it, we will eventually get to it. Everything in our life depends on us and how wise we make our decisions. We can take action now to develop our courage. For example, if we want to develop our physical courage, we have to take action trying to do something we may not think we can do it. One person who demonstrates this courage is "Dab", who lives in Thailand. He was born with polio, and he had no hope in his future, until one day, he started to develop physical courage and began doing break dances with his crutches. This reveals that even if their are obstacles in our life, we can overcome them by developing courage. 

Jan. 27 - Trip to Day Care Center! :)

                On January 27^th, my classmates and I went to Day Care Center in Pattaya, Thailand to help take care of the children there and see how life is like. There were a total of 3 activities for us to do; sweeping the yard, help clean and organize the food storage, and playing with the kids.

                We were broken up into 3 small groups and rotated at each station. The first station I went to was the children’s classrooms to help them work. When we got there, the teacher’s assistant told us there were 3 classrooms with children ages 3, 4, and 5. My small group and I decided to go visit the 4 year olds. When we entered the classroom, the 2 teachers leaded the children into singing and acting to a song they have practiced for our coming.

                After the introduction was done, the teachers and their assistants helped pass out coloring books to each student along with baskets of colored pencils.  Then, it was time for us to help them with their coloring books. It was fun at first and I thought they were cute, but in about 10 minutes, when I was helping kid A, kid B asked me for my help so I went to help kid B. I didn’t it was something to be mad about, but kid A got angry at kid B and punched him and swore extreme bad words. I got shocked because I never thought these kids would fight or knew any swear words since they are just 4. So, I tried to stop them and helped both of them at the same time. 

                After our time with the children was up, we were taken to the Day Care Center’s food storage where we helped them tidy up supplies and ingredients in the correct shelves with the correct labels. It was hard work, but from that experience, I got to cooperate with everybody and worked hard. For some reason, we didn’t get to the last station, but stayed at the food storage until the end. When the time was up, we took some photos, said goodbye and thank you, and went to lunch.

From this field trip, I have learned new things, like working in the food storage, tidying up things and having cooperation, taking care of smaller children, etc. (I also learned that 4 year old kids know lots of extreme swear words and punch each other. :S) Although working in the food storage required hard work and we all got very tired with aching knees, it was a fun trip and we learned new things from this experience. J

 

Are Patriots Terrorists? - Boston Tea Party

          On January 18, 2012, in Ms. Torie's class, we had a socratic seminar about the Boston Tea Party. On December 1773, patriots went disguised as Mohawk Indians and sneaked up onto 3 British ships stored with tea chests.  The British knew that the colonists wouldn't pay the tax for the tea, but they still insisted on bringing the tea and the royal governor of Massachusetts said that the ships shall not return with the cargo, but with the tea unloaded.
          The patriots smashed the tea chests and dumped them overboard. Not that they didn't know it was precious, but they were trying to reveal the message, which was to stop the taxation on tea.
          In my opinion, the patriots are not terrorists, they know that the tea is very valuable, but they are just sacrificing to try to send the bigger message. It's just like the red shirts and yellow shirts today in Thailand. Both sides love Thailand, but they are doing what they think is right, but they just don't have the same perspectives. Also, I don't think it is fair at all for the British to tax everything, even tea. It is just too much. The patriots and other colonists are also people, they should have equal rights! What if the patriots haven't done this? Then maybe all this taxing won't stop and they can't gain their rights.
